We're extremely excited for the progress happening in Sit-Back Attack. We've posted a few blogs about progress but I wanted to take the time to compile everything we know up to this point in one nice clean blog post. So Sit-Back and read while we explore everything we know about Sit-Back Attack.
First I wanted to talk about the reach we hope to have. In our previous titles we did not translate to different languages. With Sit-Back Attack we finally had the opportunity to do so. The game is designated to release with the following languages: English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese - Brazil, Portuguese - Portugal, German, Indonesian, Russian and Hindi. Currently we've only implemented the English and Simplified Chinese versions but all the aforementioned languages will be available at launch. Currently the name Captain shows as English, but when you click the name to change, it will show in your native language.
Now I'd like to cover a few functions of the game. First, the simplest function of the game, idle speed. There are two options for idle speeds. First is the normal idle speed, where time progresses... normally. This is a good option for when you need to apply levels to your characters, craft potions or do other task that may be effected by quick progression in the idle combat. Next is the 2x option where time progresses... yup you guessed it, twice as fast. This is good for people who are trying to blow through content, don't have any task they need to complete or are just trying to grind loot at fast as possible for upgrades. Every normal function is available in 2x speed, just be advised it can be hard to keep up if playing higher tiers of difficulty.
The next function I wanted to touch base on is arguably the most important one, the map system. With the map system, you can pick from any previous missions and replay them at any time. If you're looking for more excitement adjust the map modifiers and replay from the very first map with added difficulty. Also as you clear content you will collect maps and unlock secret missions. You can also get side quest by accessing the inn.
You access the inn by selecting the mug icon on the right. This is where you can switch out party members or pick up side quest for even more entertainment! You can only access the inn while in town or at checkpoints however. So make sure that you set up your party before departing on an adventure.
Next we will talk about crafting. While this topic is quite expansive, and I'd suggest checking out the blog post specific to crafting we wanted to give an explanation on how it all works here. First it is worth noting that you can craft while battle idles, making crafting the perfect activity while battle sequences run.
The convenient menu on the right of the screen will pull up your crafting screen by clicking the anvil icon. From there you can simply click the Craft Menu button and a drop down will show you all the items you can craft. Select the item you wish to craft and the materials will automatically fill in if you have them. If that's to simple you can also drag crafting materials to the corresponding areas to the right. Depending on what materials you drag over your items alter. For example, if you select from the drop down an amulet, altering the reagents used to craft it will change its stats.
After you've crafted your item you can upgrade them to higher tiers. To accomplish this you would need to level your item all the way to the max level of its current tier. For example, a gray level 99 amulet can be upgraded using similar reagents you used to craft. Once you upgrade the amulet it would then turn level 100 ad turn from gray to green. This process can by repeated all the way up to level 499. With so many levels and so many ways to customize gear this can be endlessly entertaining.
There are so many ways to customize your characters and tons of activities to keep you entertained for hours. With a clean UI and tooltips to help guide you, while keeping screen clutter limited Sit-Back Attack hopes to deliver a stellar idler experience. As we exit mid-development and enter into early beta we hope to have more new exciting news to share with the community.
